Before you travel
Before your trip there are several things worth checking in good time. Here we have gathered important information about payment, passports and visas, insurance, baggage, health and more.
Payment and booking verification
Payment information is shown on your invoice or booking confirmation. Always check the recipient, amount, payment date and any reference before making the payment.
Please note that Netpartner SCGS AB is shown as the recipient for payments. Flygkompaniet Sweden is a registered trading name of Netpartner SCGS AB.
Before paying, check that all details in the booking confirmation are correct. This includes the names of all travellers, travel dates, route, destinations and number of travellers. The name in the booking must match the name in the traveller’s passport.
Once payment has been made, changes may be limited, involve extra costs, or in some cases not be possible at all. Any costs arising from incorrect details may be charged to the customer.
Payment must reach Flygkompaniet no later than the date shown on the invoice or booking confirmation. If payment is not received in time, the booking may be cancelled in accordance with the applicable terms.
Contact us in good time if anything in the booking or invoice appears incorrect, or if you believe a payment may not reach us in time.
Passport and visa
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any required visa, entry permits and other documents needed for the trip. Check the rules well in advance of departure, as requirements can vary between countries and change at short notice.
Always check that the name in the booking and on the travel documents matches the name in the passport. Also check the passport’s validity, travel dates, route, destinations and number of travellers.
Many countries require the passport to be valid for a certain period after the return trip, often at least six months. Rules may differ depending on destination, layover, nationality, passport and type of trip.
If you have a foreign passport, dual citizenship, a place of birth outside Sweden or other special circumstances, you should check current entry requirements with the country’s embassy or consulate.
Some destinations require a visa, entry permit or other travel documents. You are responsible for checking what applies to your trip and for applying in good time before departure. For trips to, from or via the USA, ESTA may be required. Applications must be made through official channels and the details must match the passport.
Feel free to contact us if you are unsure where to find the right information, but the application itself and the responsibility for valid travel documents lie with the traveller.
Important when travelling to, from or via the USA
Special entry and security rules apply for travel to, from or via the USA. You may need to apply for ESTA, a visa or other entry permits well in advance of departure.
Always check current rules via official US authorities before travelling. The details in your application and booking must match the passport.
Rules may vary depending on nationality, passport and type of trip.
Swedish MFA travel information
Always read the current travel information for your destination before departure. Sweden Abroad provides country-specific information from Swedish embassies, including the security situation, local conditions and any travel advisories from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The information may change at short notice, so it is a good idea to also check it close to departure and during the trip.
Flight and travel information
As a traveller you are responsible for checking current flight times before departure. Flight times and schedules can change, and it is important that you stay updated via the airline’s information, your travel documents and any messages from us.
Please note that times in travel documents and tickets are normally given in the local time of each airport. You are responsible for being at the airport in good time for check-in, security and boarding.
Travel documents and important information about your trip are normally sent by email, unless otherwise agreed. Therefore check that you have provided the correct email address and phone number when booking.
Contact us if you are missing travel documents or if any information appears incorrect.
Baggage information
Baggage rules vary between different airlines, ticket types, destinations and routes. Always check what is included in your ticket before travelling. Information about hand baggage, checked baggage, dimensions, weight and any fees is normally available from the airline and in your booking confirmation.
If you are travelling with special baggage, for example a golf bag, skis, a surfboard, a bicycle, larger instruments or other oversized equipment, we recommend that you contact us well in advance. Special baggage may need to be pre-booked, the number of slots may be limited and additional costs may apply.
Travel currency
Check in advance which currency is used at your destination and which payment methods work locally. Card payment, cash, ATMs and digital payment solutions can work differently depending on the country, city and type of trip.
Travel guarantee
Flygkompaniet is registered with Kammarkollegiet as a travel operator with a travel guarantee.
The travel guarantee is a financial protection that applies to certain types of trips, for example package tours. The protection applies in accordance with the Travel Guarantees Act.
Contact us if you are unsure what applies to your booking. More information about the travel guarantee is available from Kammarkollegiet.
Travel insurance
Always check your insurance cover before departure. Home insurance policies normally include travel cover, but the terms, scope, validity and who is covered may vary.
Pay particular attention to what applies for medical care abroad, repatriation, cancellation, delays, baggage, activities and any pre-existing conditions or injuries.
If you are unsure what cover you have, or if you need to supplement your cover before the trip, you should contact your insurance company before travelling.
Health, vaccinations and medication
You are responsible for checking whether vaccinations, certificates or other health requirements apply to your destination. The need may vary depending on the destination, length of trip, type of trip and your personal health situation. Contact your healthcare provider or a vaccination clinic well in advance of departure.
If you are pregnant, you should check the airline’s rules before booking and travelling. Rules for flying during pregnancy, requirements for medical certificates and travel with newborn children can vary between airlines.
If you are travelling with medication, check what applies both with the airline and at the destination. Some medicines may require a prescription, certificate or special documentation. Bring medication in its original packaging.
Medical equipment and special assistance
Medical equipment, for example a wheelchair, oxygen or other equipment, may need to be approved or pre-notified to the airline. Contact us in good time if you need special assistance or are travelling with medical equipment.
